A New Year A New Start

Hey all, it's been awhile hasn't it? Well I'd like a do over with this blog if that is alright with you. I'm gonna start updating this old thing and posting a lot more. I'd call it a New Year's resolution, but we all know how those go so I'd rather not jinx myself.  I hope everyone has had a good 2010, and is enjoying their fresh start. There's more to come talk to you soon.

Stainless Steel Water Bottles

So a growing trend I've been seeing lately is the steel/aluminum water bottle. I've heard through the grape vine that drinking from plastic water bottles,  could be detrimental to your health. I've heard the water becomes polluted with the chemicals the plastic bottles has been treated with or something along those lines. Seems very plausible so I've hopped on the band wagon and bought the snazzy little number pictured above from Old Navy. I've been using it this morning and love it especially the grass design. What do you think?

Dress Up

Don't you just love these dresses from Old Navy? I've been in a rare dress wearing mood lately and I would love to wear these to work. I can see all three with a bright summery bag, some sassy jewelry, and/or a cute cardigan.  I think you could go casual or fancy in them depends on the accessories and of course the shoes. Best of all they won't break the bank!

Vroom Vroom

If coffee itself doesn't give you the boost you need to start your day maybe drinking your coffee from one these cute Vespa mugs would. I was out last night at my local Barnes & Noble, which has a Starbucks inside, when happened upon one of these little fellas on display by the register. I'm in love with it! My mom used to love to collect mugs. As kids my brother, sister, and I always loved to help her whenever there was a gift giving holiday or if a unique mug like this came along.  I know my mom would totally love this mug, and I must say I'd like one myself.

I couldn't find the mugs on Barnes & Noble or Starbucks' websites but I did find them here

Speaking of Books

It's that time again! When Summer creeps up I usually start to put a book list together for summer reading. In the picture I've taken and posted above I've displayed some of my most favorite books, half of with were in fact read over the summer. I love a good book especially on a lazy summer day, by the pool, on my porch or in the air conditioning. This year I've racked up a hefty list with some suggestions from friends and  with some research. The list is as follow and in no particular order:

Water For Elephants
The Time Traveler's Wife
Are You There Vodka its Me Chelsea (I have a girl crush on Chelsea Handler)
Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang
Wicked
The Son of the Witch
Push
Eat Pray Love
The Life of Pi
The Secret History
Middlesex
The Virgin Suicides
The Book Thief
Fall on Your Knees
The Little Friend
She's Come Undone
Like Water For Chocolate

On my lunch break today I was able to pick up Water For Elephants stay tuned for the review. I love literature suggestions so feel free to comment!! I hope the remainder of your Thursday is magical!
