My Pregnancy: Food Battles



Eating Food while pregnant has been rough so far.
The pregnancy diet is harder than it sounds, morning sickness sucks and the aversions and cravings are ridiculous. 

Big things I've been told you should avoid:

Alcohol (All the shows I watch have main characters who drink it by the boat load it's rough)
Caffeine (coffee,tea, soda, & chocolate)
Sushi (This makes lunch hard)
Fish (you can have this in moderation but stay away from a few types because of Mercury)
Lunch Meat (lunch is horrible without hoagies)
Any Meat the is not cooked (Beef jerky I miss you)
Unpasteurized cheeses (I'm going through Bleu cheese and Queso withdrawls)

I probably forgot something because your brain goes the more pregnant you are.
You can't have lots of medications either so your up a creek if you get sick.
I am currently getting over a cold and it's crappy.

Morning Sickness:

My morning sickness was BAD. If I wasn't eating or drinking something every 20 minutes I was getting nauseous. Also yeah it's probably the worst in the morning, but I was nauseous ALL DAY. They need to change the name. Thankfully the sickness has slowed down since I'm in my second trimester now, but I'm pretty sure I now have the ability to puke on command. My gag reflex is super sensitive now.

Aversions / Cravings:

Speaking of Puking, AVERSIONS.
I hope food aversions are not permanent
Right now I can not eat most chicken. As soon as I put it in my mouth I want to spit it right out or throw it up. I've always been a little weird when eating chicken if you've ever been chowing down and got a weird piece of chicken you know what I'm talking about. But I used to like chicken a lot.
I'm also having an issue with Bacon, of all things!
If it's not super crispy, I can't eat it right now.
All the other aversions have been super random, I think it's mostly related to how
processed the food is. It's like my body knows I shouldn't be eating that crap.

Now to the most positive part of this post Cravings!! 

Here is a list of what I have been craving:
Steak
Five Guys Burgers
Panera Bread's Chicken Noodle Soup
Cheese, type depends on the day right now it's cheese wiz, don't worry it's pasteurized.
KFC's Mashed Potatoes
Cebula's Pizza it's a local Pizza place.
I have been craving turkey hoagies but don't worry I have not had any :(
Juice mostly apple juice but any kind.

It's been a while and things have changed!

So I've totally Skipped a year on here! To be honest it was a pretty typical year.

Some Big things from 2015:

-Jason and I moved in together back in April! He Gave me a Key for Valentine's Day it was really Cute!

-We Started Looking for a House in October 2015! We Put and offer in on one, and got out offered by someone else which was a bummer. But it worked out because my aunt is selling me one of her houses that she rents out! The process is almost complete and has taking a long time Woof!

- Sadly my Grandfather on my mother's side passed away. It was very unexpected and happened the week of Thanksgiving. It was a very sad moment for my family, my siblings and I have never suffered a pivotal loss in our family. Up until that moment we had full sets of Grandparents on both sides of the family, which I think is very rare. We were very lucky to have had such a great man, and role model in our lives for as long as we did.  He is sorely missed, but this did bring our family closer.

-The biggest news I have for you happened in December 2015, but we didn't find out about it until January 2016.

JASON & I ARE EXPECTING OUR FIRST CHILD!


Baby Potter is due September 8th 2016! I was very surprised and worried at first but we're both thrilled! Though I'm sure I'm going to be worrying for the rest of my life now LOL
I'm going to be posting some bump / baby progression pictures I'm creating.
I'm trying to document as much as I can of this amazing experience hopefully that means more blog posts!
