My Life In 250 Words

I'm a procrastinator with big plans. I'd love to see this blog really take off and go somewhere. The problem I've been noticing with myself is lack of planning and writer's block. I stumbled upon Jenni from the blog Story of My Life's "Blog Everyday in May Challenge". Well, challenge accepted. I'm gonna have to tweak this a bit since I usually make it a point to stay off the computer on weekends.  Maybe I'll make up Saturdays and Sundays on Mondays or something. Any who, This is day one.

"Day 1, Wednesday: The story of your life in 250 words or less (or one paragraph... no one will be counting your words... probably)"

So here's my story:

My name is Kimberly Marie Dale I was born April 28^th 1987. I grew up in the small town of Avoca, and have lived in this part of Pennsylvania my whole life. I live with my dog, my dad, my sister and my niece. I have an older brother and younger sister. My parents were married and living together up until 3 years ago when they separated and my mom got her own place. I graduated high school in ‘05’ and College in ‘09’. I have a bachelor’s degree in Visual Art from Keystone College. I work as a Production Artist for a greeting card company near Scranton Pennsylvania. Towards the end of my college career I lived with and was engaged to a guy who turned out to be a really awful person. When that was over my dog and I went live with my dad. This past year my family and I have had to help my dad get through a scary little battle with cancer, and have offered our hands in helping my sister raise her daughter. I met my wonderful boy friend almost a year ago. I love to paint, take photographs, and digitally design. I have always been a very big nerdy tomboy but I love being girly too. I really want to be a better blogger some day. I’ve gone through some pretty rough patches over the last five years but I finally feel like I’m in a happy place with the right people.

Tuesday Longgg Weekend Wrap-up

So I decided to take two vacation days this past week to elongate my 26th birthday weekend. Here's Friday to Monday via Instagram of the festivities. 

Friday I slept in and laid out reading for most of the day, I also did a little shopping. 

In the evening my fantastic guy rounded up some great friends and family; the night was filled with Hibachi and Cards Against Humanity.

Saturday I stayed out way to late and got a little too festive with my guy a small group of friends. Here's my pal Silvana (left), Me (middle) and my bestie Anna (right) taking some midnight Cherry Bombs in honor of me being officially 26.

Sunday I enjoyed a nice lunch party with my immediate family. My Dad cooked on the grill, i got tons of awesome presents and we had cake! This is my favorite kind of cake from the little Polish bakery called Cwikla's in my home town. I usually demand this cake every year. Their icing is ridiculously sweet but once a year it's totally acceptable.

Monday was a rainy, lazy, day for me. I made cinnamon buns for breakfast, then my sister and I spent some girl time getting manicures. I also watched the new to DVD movie, Gangster Squad 

(Mmm Ryan Gosling). 

This last picture of this post is this hysterical birthday gift from my parents. An Edward Cullen Blanket, and matching pillowcases. They know I'm a hardcore fan girl.

Monday Weekend Wrap-up

On Friday felt a lil old (gonna be 26 on the 28th)  when I celebrated a friend's 21st b-day.

Had a lot of family time Saturday. I went Shopping with my mom, sister and niece, baby sat my niece with my mom, and watched some TV with Dad and the dog, Dooby.

Spent Sunday relaxing with my handsome boyfriend. We had brunch, and did a lil grocery shopping in the Morning. We did some Marathon Sopranos watching in the afternoon. Our evening was for Jason's beer league hockey game, and of course Game of Thrones.

High Five for Friday

This Friday I'm reflecting on my week and Linking up with Lauren Elizabeth's High Five For Friday. 

1. Monday I was taking selfies and fawning over my new glasses.

2. Tuesday: I've been reading Beautiful Creatures for a little while now, I'm very close to done. I'll have to check the movie out even though I've been hearing it wasn't that great. 

3. Wednesday: I am loving this Flip Flop weather and totally wishing I was on the beach pictured on my Old Navy Flops.

4. Thursday was pay day and I OVERLY treated my self to some retail therapy. I love my new Pink Sangria candle and candle holder from Bath and Body Works.

5. Friday (today) I've been working on a little recipe book project all week, I finally put it together this morning. I designed all the inserts to fit into a 4x6 photo album.

Instagram January Photo Challenge Freebie

I'm always on the hunt for instagram photo challenges, they are something fun to do and they give me something creative to do and look forward to doing day to day.
